California ScienCenter Sneak Preview!
March 22, 2010
Last weekend I went to a preview of the new ECOSYSTEMS exhibits at California ScienCenter in Los Angeles. This project had one of the biggest seaweed orders my dad and grandpa have ever gotten! (They started working back in 2008!)
Around noon on Saturday my mom, dad, Grandpa Carl and I met up with Mindy’s husband Shawn outside. I think they did a great job with the exhibits. Not only are they informative but they are interactive and fun so that kids—and adults—can really learn something. There were eight different areas but even though we were there for five hours we didn’t have enough time to see everything. I am definitely planning on going back!

The seaweed in the foreground is real and the seaweed in the background is my dad and grandpa’s.
Here’s my mom in the tunnel. It was a miracle to get a shot without all the other people in it!
Outside you could see the big tank from the top..It was neat to see the divers climbing out.
Here’s a shot from the “L.A. Zone”. They had some great pictures!

The seaweed looks amazing. I hope the CA ScienCenter is open next month. We should all try and go. Still have some of photos of the grasses at the Birch Aquarium that I need to send you.
