Since I’m making a wedding cake for my sister’s wedding, and because I’ve never decorated a cake before, I decided I should take a class on how to do it. Here are some pictures…..

Here is a “baby sweater” cake that I made in my cake decorating class. I think it came out awesome, especially for my first cake!

Hi there… the day I made this cake happened to be on my sister Gloria’s birthday. Even though I didn’t get to see her, I still say I made it for her.

I made this cake in my third class. It’s a basket for Easter or something.

Here’s my latest cake as of July 14th, 2009. The Hello Kitty was done by tracing the cartoon onto edible rice paper (which is actually made from patoto) using non-toxic crayola markers. Sadly, this is my last cake in class, because next week, which is the last week, I’ll be in Mexico….too bad because they’re doing wedding cakes next week….Uggg. I need to practice for Vero and Ryan’s wedding cake.

Hi there…Happy Cake Decorator! Okay, now I can claim some gene connections here — I’ve always loved decorating cakes! and usually used rolled up wax paper for tubes…and followed designs on napkins, photos, etc. Eventually I was given a Wilton set of tips/points and books that were great inspirations. But that was back when I was in my 30′s — not in my teen years! Love ya…keep on frostin’ — Grandma Myrna

birthday cards that are personlized are the best in my opinion, they really come from the bottom of the heart of the sender.~`
